I guess all the holiday sweets didn’t quite fill me up. Well, they kind of did. But I am pretty much obsessed with anything sweet so I had to make a healthy and delicious protein dessert to detox after Christmas. It may look too good to be healthy, but it is much more nutritious than a typical dessert.

By using whole wheat flour and unsweetened cocoa powder, this cake has over 10 grams of fiber. I used chocolate Beast Sports Nutrition protein powder. It not only gave the cake great taste, but it contributed to the over 45 grams of protein!

If you want to lower the sugar in this recipe, you can always use sugar free maple syrup. I like to use the real, all natural, 100% maple syrup. But, it will taste just as amazing no matter which one you use. And just a little side note. Don’t skip the maple peanut butter cream. It is so delicious and takes this cake to another level.
